Bosque County Farm Bureau Talent Find Contest

This contest seeks to identify talented youth within the county.  Winner of the county contest
will be awarded a $150 scholarship and will be eligible to compete for a $1000 scholarship
at the district contest in October.

Eligibility requirements include:

1. Contestants must be between the ages of 16-19 as of September 1, 2005.
2. The performance of the act must be confined to a normal stage setting and not dangerous
   in nature to audience or participant.
3. Contestants must be a Texas Farm Bureau member, or a member of a Texas Farm
   Bureau family.
4.  Contestants must be amateurs.  An amateur is one who has not received direct
   remuneration for the performance of the talent.
5. Farm Bureau employees, dealers, and/or servicing agents' families and previous state
   Talent Find winners are not eligible to enter.
6. No contestant will be allowed to participate at the district level in the Talent Find contest
   more than two (2) times.

The local Talent Find contest will be held in late June.  For more information, please contact

Miss Texas Farm Bureau Contest

This contest seeks to identify young ladies capable of representing the Farm Bureau at public
activities.  The county contest will be held in late June and will provide a $150 scholarship to the
winner.

Eligibility requirements include:

1. Contestants must be the daughter or sister of a Texas Farm Bureau member. 
2. Contestants must be single (defined as never married and without children).
3. Farm Bureau employees, dealers, and/or servicing agents' families and previous state
   winners are not eligible to enter this contest.
4. No contestant will be allowed to participate at the district level in the Miss TFB contest
   more than two (2) times.
5. Contestants must be between the ages of 16-19 as of September 2005

2005 Miss Farm Bureau Winner:

 2004-  Rebekah Phillips  of Meridian, TX was the winner of the Bosque County Miss Farm Bureau contest for 2004.

The date, time and place for the 2005 contest has not been set as yet but will be in June 2005

2005 Talent Find Winner:

  2004 -  Hannah Rose of Valley Mills, Tx was the winner of the Bosque County Farm Bureau Talent Find Contest. The competition was held in Temple, Tx. Miss Rose will advance to the state level ate the annual TFB Convention in Waco this December.

The date, time and place for the 2006 contest has not been set as yet but will be in June 2006 

2005 Citizenship Seminar :

  The 2005 Texas Farm Bureau Citizenship Seminar will be held June 13-17, 2005 at Angelo State University in San Angelo TX.  Watch your local county newspapers for information or call the Bosque County Farm Bureau for more information.  The deadline for applications is May 2, 2005.

2005 Free Enterprise Speech Contest Winner:

Date, time and place have not been set.  You must attend the 2005 Citizenship Seminar to be eligible for this contest.  

2005 Summer Ag Institute:

  In 2004  Kristi Murphy, a teacher at  Meridian Elementary attended for 2004 Summer Ag Institute at Tarelton State University. The dates for this years Institute are July 11-15, 2005.

2005 Wildlife Camp Attendees:

2005 Central Texas Youth Fair:

  July 29,2005-Bosque County Farm Bureau purchased the Fair T-Shirt at the 2005 Youth Fair and Rodeo.  

Young Farmer and Rancher Contest:

  Sept. 2006- Bosque County Farm Bureau is looking for representatives for the 2006 Contest.  Contact the local office for information.  Phone (254) 675-6456
